Locus-Forgotten Memories Comments

  1. Forgotten Memories is one of the more traditional pieces in the Locus area. It is a setup of various images of dolls, or parts of dolls, sitting in post-apocalyptic settings. The dolls are bright against a dark backgrounds, creating a commentary on broken innocence in a rougher world. The eyes have been modified in the images, making them look evil and haunting.

The space is set up in a very simple way, with the images towering over the viewer, making the broken dolls nearly life sized.

  2. This space was a little hard to find for me, but once I found it I was taken aback a little as it was not what I was expecting. Inside are "life-size" pieces of work that depict children's dolls that have been altered to have a sinister and sometimes mechanical appearance to them. The set up of the space itself was interesting. To me it was somewhat of a maze as the pieces were staggered throughout the space.
