Locus-Arc Gallery Comments

  1. The Arc Gallery seemed to focus mainly on architecture, as the walls provided a nice area to showcase various architectural masterpieces, such as those by Frank Gehry. In the center of this space was a large work containing large chairs. I'm not entirely sure how relevant they were to in relation to the pieces surrounding it. After visiting this area, I flew up to discover another space which I assumed to be part of the Arc Gallery as the chair is once again repeated in this space but in a smaller scale. Among the other objects in this upper level are some classic furniture. To my surprise I was able to identify a Noguchi table here. Overall, nothing overly exciting but perhaps educational in some respect.

  2. This whole space seems to be dominated by architecture and furnishings. The main piece is an excessively large chair surrounded by text. i really didnt understand Arc Gallery, its purpose and function. Although fairly interactive artifacts were here i just saw everything as basic and of little interest to me. I did however like the large chair it did remind me of a large chair from my childhood that was very amusing. So i did enjoy that glimpse of my past but otherwise was not impressed.
